On Thursday, July 1st at 10:45 am, President Barack Obama will deliver an address in the atrium of the new School of International Service building at American University. The speech will surround the issue of comprehensive immigration reform. This event highlights the University’s commitment to public service and international understanding.
Although the event is by White House invitation only, it can be viewed on NBC, CNN, and live at http://www.whitehouse.gov/live. There will also be a Twitter stream at @AmericanU and #ObamaAtAU. Following the speech a video will be made available on the AU website.

On June 29, 2010, the Department of Justice and Department of Education wrote a letter to College University Presidents on the subject of Electronic Book Readers. They expressed concern towards the growing trend for colleges and universities to use readers that are inaccessible to students who are blind or who have low vision. They seek to protect disabled persons from discrimination and to ensure they are able to receive equal opportunities in education.

As we anxiously anticipate our center's new space, in the brand-new School of International Service (SIS) building here at American University, D.C., we'd like to share the excitement and progress with you.
The AU Cotelco team is looking forward to the state-of-the-art design, and are hoping for many many visitors, both virtually and physically. (Keep your eyes and ears open for our Open House this Fall.)
The pics are attached. Check out the "center without walls"'s new walls! ;)
