Provalis has recently released a beta version of its computer assisted text analysis tool WordStat. The software can be installed fully and be integrated to your QDA suite, or partially and run it separatelly.

This is another accomplishment for all of us at Cotelco! Dr. Derrick Cogburn and Fatima Espinoza have written an article named "From Networked Nominee to Networked Nation: Examining the Impact of Web 2.0 and Social Media on Political Participation and Civic Engagement in the 2008 Obama Campaign".This article is going to be a part of the forthcoming issue  of  Journal On Political Marketing! The paper is available under Selected Paper's and Presentations for all of us.

Karen is our new Cotelco coordinator; she will help us organize our research and administrative activities from now on.  Karen is currently a student at American University - Kogod School of Business.

A Brief Review of the New Apple iPad

Yesterday was an important day in the history of mobile computing. As most of you probably know, Apple Inc. introduced its long awaited portable tablet computer called the "iPad." For me, the long wait focused on finally getting the kind of eBook reader I've always thought was possible. For many years, I've wanted a Kindle, but just couldn't see spending that much for a single use device. Now, eBook reading is only the entry point into this revolutionary new product, that as we used to say about the information society, will change how we - or at least some of us - will live, work and play.
